I’m still trying to balance my staff job against the very long queue of freelance work that I signed up for before that job came along. Which means, sadly, no time for blogging. I haven’t given up the idea, though (I really love this blog). I just need a few more months to clear my plate.
In the meantime, I’ve been sorting through old photos (remember film? I do!) in a quest to find the right wall art to go with our new coffee table. So I finally got these pics scanned onto a flash drive.
They’re from my graduate school days (that would be the summer of 2005). I did the field research for my thesis in Environmental Science at a small, remote research station just north of the Brooks Range in Alaska. It remains one of the great experiences of my life (eight solid weeks, camping in the wilderness! I can’t even imagine it now!).
